- a prominent gopī featuring in the tales of the pastimes of Kŗşņa with the cowherd girls or milkmaids, the daughter of Candrabhānu and the wife of Govardhan Malla, a cousin and a close friend of Rādhā, who like her passionately loved Kŗşņa, and also her main competitor for the attention of Kŗşņa; a drama centered around the same character by Bhāratendu Harīścandra (1850 – 1885 CE).
