- the eight metals
- the group of eight metals, the combination of which is considered auspicious and used for constructing divine images and ritual implements for worship, namely: svarna (gold), raupya (silver), tāmra (copper), pittala (bronze), kāńsya (brass); trapu (zinc), sīsaka (lead) and lauha (iron).
