Sometimes transliterated as: Tanumanasl, TanumAnasl, Tanumaanasl


Tanumānasi literally means attenuation of the mind.

The first two stages when practiced well, it makes the mind or mānasa, thin or attenuated. Such a mind will not get attached to sense-objects.
