The greatness of a religion is demonstrated not in quantity but in quality.

In the modern era, Hindus had emigrated from the Indian Subcontinent to European nations and their colonies, as well as to independent countries like the U.S.

Enduring the-then common prejudices based on visible and cultural differences, Hindus worked hard to give their children better futures on those same societies. Today, Hindus are the most successful religious group.

Not only have Hindu economically and academically advanced the societies their parents were immigrants to but they've popularized ethics such as vegetarianism and humanism (i.e., Gandhism.) Beyond spreading Sanatan Dharm itself (i.e., through Hare Krishnas, Brahma Kumaris), universal practices have been spread, including yoga and Ayurvedic medicine.
