Ekāha

Ekāha literally means ‘of one day’s duration’.
Any Soma sacrifice of one day’s duration (eka = one, ahan = day) is called ‘Ekāha’. It is distinguished from Ahīna and Sattra, which are of longer duration. For instance, Agniṣṭoma sacrifice, which is a part of Jyotiṣṭoma ritual, is an Ekāha. The main rite of pressing soma juice is performed here in one day.
