Colonial Discourse and the Suffering of Indian American Children Book Cover.webp
We examine the impact of the current colonial-racist discourse around Hindu Dharma on Indians across the world and prove that this discourse causes psychological effects similar to those caused by racism: shame, inferiority, embarrassment, identity confusion, assimilation, and a detachment from our cultural heritage.

Kānvaśākhā

By Swami Harshananda

The Śukla Yajurveda has two śākhās or recensions. They are:

  1. Kānvaśākhā - It has 17 kāṇḍas.
  2. Mādhyandinaśākhā - It has 14 kāṇḍas.

There is not much difference between these two recensions. The Śatapatha Brāhmana has two śākhās of the same name. The Bṛhadāranyaka Upaniṣad is also found in both the recensions.
