(Here is a simple prayer of auspiciousness addressed to the lotus feet of Lord Krishna as the Lord of Guruvayur. Except for the last stanza , all other stanzas use pure Sanskrit words.)
1.Mangalam manjulam , Krishna padambujam,
Mangalya dayakam ,Krishna padambujam
Sankata nasanam, Krishna padambujam
Santhosha dayakam , Krishna padambujam
Auspicious and pretty is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Giver of auspiciousness is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Destroyer of sorrow is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Giver of happiness is the lotus feet of Krishna.
2.Dushtavinasanam , Krishna padambujam
Sishta jana priyam , Krishna padambujam
Mukthi pradayakam , Krishna padambujam
Sakthi pradayakam , Krishna padambujam
Destroyer of bad one ones is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Favourite of the disciplined is the lotus feet of Krishna
Giver of salvation is the lotus feet of Krishna
Promoter of strength is the lotus feet of Krishna
3.Sanmayam chinmayam , Krishna padambujam
Kalmasha nasanam , Krishna padambujam
Nishkalam nisthoolam , Krishna padambujam
Nithya niramayam , Krishna padambujam
Full of good, full of divine is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Destroyer of sins is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Without stain and incomparable is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Without taint and forever is the lotus feet of Krishna
4.Ananda dayakam , Krishna padambujam
Aakulanasanam , Krishna padambujam
Modhapradayakam, Krishna padambujam
Moha vinasanam , Krishna padambujam
Provider of joy is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Destroyer of confusion and worry is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Promoter of joy is the lotus feet of Krishna,
Destroyer of passion is the lotus feet of Krishna
5.Sri guruvayupuresa Padambujam,
Sri egidunnoru divya padambujam
Nithyam namikkuka , nithyam bhajikkuga,
Nithyam sthuthikkuka , Krishna padambujam
The lotus feet of the Lord of Guruvayur,
Is ia divine lotus feet leading to wealth and joy,
And so daily salute, daily sing about,
And daily pray the lotus feet of Lord Krishna.
