Sangrahan & Kripa
From Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia
Sangrahan (propitiation) is making a pledge to the divine and offering something (worship, self-sacrifice like fasting), many times to obtain divine favour/blessings/grace. It is different than just praying because it entails not just praying but appeasing Brahm. Propitiation in Sanskrit is known also as ‘upanyasa’.
Kripa is grace, and by Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, and/or Gyan Yoga, practitioners earn it.
