We examine the impact of the current colonial-racist discourse around Hindu Dharma on Indians across the world and prove that this discourse causes psychological effects similar to those caused by racism: shame, inferiority, embarrassment, identity confusion, assimilation, and a detachment from our cultural heritage.

droṇakalaśa

Vedic sacrifices, the Somayāgas are a class by themselves. The soma juice is the main dravya or ingre¬dient to be offered into the sacrificial fire in these yāgas. The soma juice is prepared by crushing the soma stalks with stones.

It is then strained through a cloth called daśāpavitra into a wooden vessel with a handle. This latter is called ‘droṇakalaśa’ or ‘duroṇakalaśa’. See DAŚĀPAVITRA also.
