Just as the sun, the eye of the whole world, is not defiled by the external faults seen by the eye, even so, the One within all beings is not tainted by the sorrow of the world, as He is outside (the world). Yajurveda, Kaṭha Upaniṣad 2.2.11

The one Deva, hidden in all beings, all-pervading, the inner ātmā of all beings, the overseer of all karm, who dwells in all beings, the witness, the knower, the only one who is not tainted by the guṇa-s. Yajurveda, Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 6.11

Taking hold of My prakṛti, I send forth again and again this entire multitude of beings, which are helpless, being under the control of prakṛti. Gītā 9.8

And these actions do not bind Me, Dhanañjaya; I am seated as if indifferent, unattached in those actions. Gītā 9.9

Because this Supreme Ātmā is beginningless and devoid of guṇa-s, it is imperishable. Even though it dwells in the body, It neither acts nor is it tainted. Gītā 13.31

As the all-pervading ether is not tainted due to its subtlety, in the same way, the ātmā that dwells in all the bodies does not get tainted. Gītā 13.32

Deva Śiva transcends the three guṇa-s. He is omniscient, All-Doer. Pervading the one-syllabled Oṃ, He pervades everything. Śivadharmottara Upapurāṇa 1.26

Some atheists and agnostics argue that creation, being full of imperfections, reflects upon the Creator. If Bhagavān is perfect, they contend, He must also be responsible for all imperfections in the universe. Vedānta responds that these apparent imperfections exist to provide experiences for individual ātmā-s, corresponding to the karmas performed in their previous lives.
