Hindu Dharma prescribes multiple paths to attain mokṣa because human beings have different abilities, aptitudes and preferences.
For those with an analytical mind – the path of Jñāna Yoga. For the action-oriented – Karma Yoga. For the contemplative – Dhyāna Yoga. And for those who are emotional and loving – Bhakti Yoga.
Of course, no individual falls completely only in one of these behavioral categories but typically, one trait dominates in each person. Most of us are emotional, and one who lacks emotions completely is not a human being but a lifeless machine.
