Krishna enumerates several positives of Bhakti Yog and calls it the ‘royal knowledge’ and the ‘royal secret’ that is the ultimate cleaner:
"I shall declare to you indeed, who does not find fault for trivial reasons, the most profound secret, together with knowledge as well as the special knowledge, having learned which you shall be released from evil. Gita 9.1" "This is royal knowledge, a royal secret, a supreme purifier, known by direct experience, consistent with Dharm, very easy to practice, and imperishable. Gita 9.2"
Why are Bhakti and Bhakti Yog the most universal and popular paths to reach the Divine in Hindu and even in other traditions? Several reasons may be given to answer this question.
