Devotees offer naiveidhyam to Bhagavan
  1. Festivals related to Forms of the Divine: E.g., Shivarātri, Rāmanavamī
  2. Festivals related to Sants, Rishis, and Bhaktas: E.g, Guru Pūrnimā
  3. Festivals honoring relationships: E.g. Rakshabandhan
  4. Festivals that are associated with the change of seasons, or agricultural patterns: E.g., Pongal, Vasantha Panchami
  5. Festivals occurring regularly in the calendar: E.g.,. Ekādashī occurs twice every month.
  6. Festivals occurring annually or even less frequently – for example, the Mahākumbh occurs once every twelve years at one of the four holy spots by rotation and is attended by tens of millions of Hindus.
