Vaidhībhakti

Vaidhībhakti literally means ‘devotion associated with vidhis or rules’.
Bhakti or devotion has been categorized in different ways. One of them is vaidhībhakti and rāgānugābhakti. The former is the devotion associated with many preliminary rules and regulations like:
- Physical and ceremonial purity
- Ritualistic worship
- Chanting of hymns
- Observing certain rules about food
- Fasting
- Etc.
