Colonial Discourse and the Suffering of Indian American Children Book Cover.webp
We examine the impact of the current colonial-racist discourse around Hindu Dharma on Indians across the world and prove that this discourse causes psychological effects similar to those caused by racism: shame, inferiority, embarrassment, identity confusion, assimilation, and a detachment from our cultural heritage.

Karṇarandhra-dhauti

From Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia

By Swami Harshananda

Karṇarandhra-dhauti literally means ‘cleaning of the ear-passages’.

Cleansing the various parts of the body is an important aspect of Hathayoga. Such processes are called ‘dhauti’. Karṇarandhra dhauti is the 3rd and the 4th part of Dantadhauti.

It consists of cleaning the two holes or passages of the ears using the index or the ring fingers. By practicing it daily some mystical sounds are heard according to the Gheranda Samhitā.[1]
