Laghava

From Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia

By Swami Harshananda

Laghava literally means ‘lightness’.

An earnest practice of yogic exercises like prāṇāyāma under the guidance of an expert teacher will engender certain signs both at physical and psychical levels. By this one can judge the progress. One of these is lāghava or laghutva. It is a feeling of lightness of the body which indicates good health.
