Amos Goldberg is an associate Professor at the Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry and a fellow at the Research Institute of Contemporary Jewry at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem[1] as of June 2024. According to his university profile, his research and publications focus primarily on the cultural and literary history of Jews during the Holocaust, the study of trauma, the historiography of the Holocaust, and on the development of Holocaust memory in the global age.

He has published no books, papers, or research pertaining to Hindus, Hindutva, Hindu Nationalism, the Indian Government or India in general as of January 2023.

In 2021, he endorsed the "Dismantling Global Hindutva" conference and made the following allegations[2]:

  1. "Hindutva ideology or Hindu Nationalism is ... rooted in fascism"
  2. "Hindutva, the political philosophy of Hindu majoritarianism, is distinct from the religious practices of Hinduism"
  3. "[Hinduphobia is] a distraction “in the west to silence critiques of casteism, Islamophobia, sexism, anti-Semitism, racism, and other forms of supremacist ideologies at the heart of Hindutva.”"
  4. "the rise in power of Hindutva-aligned groups has led to a crackdown on all forms of democratic dissent and the intimidation and imprisonment of academics, journalists, human rights groups and activists"
